BANGLES.

Alright,

Let’s get to the fun stuff.

BANGLES ARE IN, THEY WERE ALWAYS IN, AND THEY WILL ALWAYS BE IN. The ethereal twinkle in the air as you move, the opulent artistry of their adornment, the spiritual transcendence they offer to any outfit. Of course our South Asian sisters have worn bangles since ancient times and they are an undeniable part of a few ancient cultures.

As an Arab girl, I am jewelry obsessed. More than that, I want to be beautiful in a way that I can take with me throughout my whole life. Bangles are one of those things that just take my confidence to another level. They look so amazing. They feel amazing. There are some garments that make you move in a different way. The way they fall on the wrist, the entrancing sound they make with every movement, the attention they draw. There is something so powerful about that metallic armor on your wrist. It’s easy to imagine being an older woman drenched in bangles. Ugh, dreamy.

Silver, gold, wood, lucite. Vintage, vintage vintage, vintage. We don’t need to be buying new stuff unless it’s a small or otherwise designer worth giving your money to.

Mixed metals are cool. Wear what you feel best in. I tried to make gold my color for a long time but eventually came to the conclusion that silver looks better on me. Play around until you know what you like! The mix of materials, sizes, colors, and textures just adds such character to the look. It really takes basic to magical.
