There is something about a Sofia Vergara wobble walk in wedges, hips swaying side to side, drawing all eyes at the backyard bbq. Maybe it’s me getting older or simply that lovely summer air starting to roll in. But the perfect wedge is so evasive. Slingback? Peep toe? Sandal? Round toe covered canvas? One of each? 

I’ve been looking for a good round toe for ages – It has not been found. I found one that looked good but it seems the lack of bend in the espadrille wedge makes it come right off. Is it just not my size? Probably. Okay, I have some cute little short wedges but that doesn’t do anything. I WANT HEIGHT, I WANT ELEVATION, I WANT PASSION, SEDUCTION!!!!!! 2 INCHES ISN’T GOING TO DO THE JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The material matters so much too – A wedge that looks like it’s trying to be a heel is the biggest ick. No honey, be a wedge with pride. The espadrille woven-rope base is forever iconic. In my opinion it isn’t a wedge unless it has a wooden or espadrille style base. I don’t always want my toes out but maybe that is the price we pay.
